Description

Carlo Nason “Cascade” Chandelier for Mazzega, Italy, 1970s

A stunning “Cascade” chandelier designed by Carlo Nason for Mazzega in the 1970s, also referred to as the “Waterfall” chandelier due to its flowing glass elements. This Italian masterpiece features a gilded metal frame adorned with handcrafted Murano glass pieces, arranged in a tiered, cascading effect. The translucent glass elements catch and refract light, creating a mesmerizing ambiance.

This chandelier is composed of three tiers: an upper, middle and lower section filled with elongated Murano glass pieces, carefully shaped to resemble flowing water. Each glass piece is hand-blown, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship of Mazzega Murano. The warm golden frame contrasts beautifully with the textured, ice-like glass, making this chandelier a timeless statement piece.

Perfect for adding a touch of Italian luxury and sophistication, this chandelier embodies the artistic vision of Carlo Nason, whose work is celebrated for its sculptural elegance and refined execution.
